Following the Cycles of the Moon - Book 2 in the “Women with Wisdom” Series

“This charming novel is not mere fluffy entertainment. McKenna writes with authenticity and grace about the spiritual, historical, and cultural impact of women—from medieval France to modern-day America.

From upstate New York landscapes to humid Louisiana bayous, Anna Marie Golding covers a lot of ground—literally and figuratively—as she quests. Her search for the life history of Granny Rose leads her to astonishing and profound answers about life and love.”

—LaurenRose EveningSong, Priestess of Sacred Sound, Therapeutic Singing Practitioner, author, singer/songwriter, spiritual-seeker, and rose-grower

Following the Cycles of the Moon, the second book in the series, begins where the first book ended, with the request to learn Granny Rose’s life story through the recording sent to her by  Reverend Sophia, a close friend of Rose’s, who readers meet in Book 1. Part of the request asked by Granny Rose prior to her death is to travel to Louisiana to meet the family and learn the life story of Granny Rose firsthand. Anna Marie suspected in her first meeting with Granny Rose there was a reason they came together which could include a family connection many generations back. She learns of a connection and how important women’s shared history is to our understanding of how to live our lives fully today.

Anna Marie, and her sponsors, the LaRoches family, learn everything they hoped to learn and more, and the three Southwind women discover unexpected connections.

Those readers who loved the characters and stories in Whistling Up the Southwind will be pleased that many of the characters are included in this book. You will learn more of their stories and the connections to the history of their foremothers and ultimately, to all of our ancestors.
