The Women with Wisdom Series began in 2007 with the publication of the first book in the series Whistling up the Wind under my name Kathie Bishop. My intent was to capture the strength of women, the importance of women’s relationships across generations, and to spark an interest in the hidden or missing stories of our female ancestors’ lives and accomplishments—that we benefit from today. Women’s history is woven into each of the books in the series.
The three books of the “Women with Wisdom” Series contain contemporary stories about women, their struggles, strengths, and relationships. Hidden within those stories are names, events, and women’s stories from the past. The contributions of our foremothers are in plain sight for those who have eyes to see and ears to hear. May you open your eyes wider and sharpen your hearing.
